Soon, you won’t have to drive to Southlake or Coppell for your weekly Trader Joe’s run.

Trader Joe’s LLC filed a permit with the town for remodeling at 6101 Long Prairie Road, Suite 600. The spot is where Party City used to be located and is in the same shopping center as Target.

Trader Joe’s has repeatedly topped the annual list as the most requested retailer by Flower Mound residents. The other two in the top three, Costco and H-E-B, are part of proposed developments that have yet to be voted on by town council.

It is not clear when the store will open, but the permit expires on Nov. 10.
