We meet with community leaders in person, attend or watch every town council meeting, and write stories from a blank Word document.   • We are a for-profit company for tax purposes, but it is not our intention to get rich. No one gets into this business for that. We live in Flower Mound and genuinely want what is best for the community.

    If your foundation can only make donations to a nonprofit, we are working to pair up with one for a fiscal sponsor relationship.

  • The money helps pay for printing costs and website hosting. A small portion is used for reporter compensation to account for the time it takes to report and write well-researched and factual stories about Flower Mound. We eventually plan to hire high school interns to teach the next generation how to cover school board and local government meetings.

  • Those who donate will not get special treatment. The funding will not affect how we approach each story with objective reporting. As usual, no one will be able to read stories before publication or have any say in editorial decisions.
