Rep. Brandon Gill will vote “no” on all bills the Senate sends to the House of Representatives — with the exception of a bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security — until the Senate passes the SAVE America Act.
The congressman posted on X today just after noon.
The Safeguard America Voter Eligibility Act, which would require proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote and for all people to show an ID when voting in person or by mail, was passed by the House on Feb. 11.
Gill first floated the idea of voting no on all future Senate bills yesterday in a post on X, writing, “As long as the Senate refuses to pass the SAVE America Act, why should I vote for any bill the Senate sends over to the House?”
Friday’s post has more than 350,000 views and has a mix of responses, with some saying he should resign and others encouraging Republican lawmakers to join him.
