Peters Colony Memorial Park is set to open to the public in March.

Construction on the 3.3 acre space near the Flower Mound Library started in late 2024 and was originally expected to be ready by last fall. Town officials now anticipate a soft opening next month and a ribbon cutting later in the spring or summer, according to communications director Melissa Demmitt.

A permanent sign as gone up at the corner of Old Settlers Road and Peters Colony Road and crews are working on landscaping and irrigation, as well as installing a flag pole.

The park will feature a nature-inspired playground, trail access to the library, a veterans memorial, and a pavilion.
